Nick Cannon dodges latest Mariah Carey pregnancy rumors

t1larg.carey.cannon.gi(PEOPLE.com) — Photos of Mariah Carey in Brazil have generated another round of pregnancy speculation — and another noncommittal response from husband Nick Cannon.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it time and time again — when my wife feels like talking about whatever she wants to talk about, you will hear it directly from her,” Cannon, 29, said on his radio show Monday on New York’s 92.3 FM.

Elaborating on a Twitter message he posted in June, Cannon stresses that the issue is delicate. “We all know it’s extremely personal, and it is for a woman to deal with things with her body, and especially when dealing with the idea of childbirth and all that stuff,” he says.

But he explains that if there ever is news to announce, the couple want to “strategically plan it out properly” to avoid “media hoopla

Nick Cannon On Eminem ‘[Eminem is] lucky I haven’t run into him yet,’

281x211Don’t let the cuff links fool you!

Nick Cannon may sport tailored suits as the host of “America’s Got Talent,” but the prime-time entertainer isn’t a made-for-TV drone, especially when it comes to defending his wife, Mariah Carey, from Eminem.

In the new issue of In Touch Weekly, Cannon takes a hard-line stance against the Relapse rapper.

Em and MC have been tossing barbs at each other for a couple years now. The words turned more hurtful this year, however, when Carey’s “Obsessed” seemingly mocked Slim Shady, and the rapper responded with “The Warning,” a scathing freestyle threat targeting the singer.

“Oh gee, is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee?/ Wow, Mariah, didn’t expect ya to go balls out/ B—-, shut the f— up before I put all those phone calls out/ You made to my house/ When you was wild ‘n’ out/ Before Nick, when you was on my di–,” Eminem rapped on the track.

Did Eminem Go Too Far With His Mariah Carey Dis Track?

First Eminem wrote a song, “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” directed at Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. Then she seemed to respond to his track with her own, “Obsessed,” although she has denied the song and the video were directed at him.

Now, this week, Eminem has released a scathing dis track, “The Warning,” directed at Carey and her husband, Nick Cannon, during which he alleges and describes what was his one full sexual encounter with Carey, labels her a “liar” and other ugly names, and threatens to reveal personal pictures and phone messages he has of the singer. (Carey has denied ever having a romantic relationship with Eminem, while he has insisted there was one.)

Eminem has a history of blistering disses, but the song raises the question: Has he taken the feud too far? MTV News headed to Times Square to get fans’ opinions on the matter.

“I think Eminem has gone too far on this one,” Cherie Gardner said. “Even if it is true, I think that’s a bit too far.”

Nick Cannon Insists: No Beef With Eminem Over Mariah Carey Dis

Nick Cannon was pretty steamed over Eminem’s brutal lampooning of the singer and his wife, Mariah Carey, in the song “Bagpipes from Baghdad, which appears on Eminem’s new LP, Relapse. Cannon wrote and then quickly took down a long blog post where he accused Eminem of being racially insensitive and “still obsessed with my wife, the same female that wouldn’t let him get to second base from eight years ago”; Eminem later said Cannon had misinterpreted the song.

Entertainment Weekly talked with Cannon on Thursday about the issue.

“I felt like I said what I had to say,” Cannon said. “I didn’t take [the post] down, like, ‘Oh, somebody instructed me to do it’ or anything like that. It was just one of those things, like, I said it.”

As for the real reason he took the post down, Cannon said it had to do with the traffic to his Web site, which “pretty much crashed my site. There’d be thousands and thousands of comments and people couldn’t leave comments on other posts or any of that stuff. So that was the only reason why I took it down.”

And while noted that he doesn’t have any regrets about what he said — “I feel exactly the same way by it and stick by everything, but I think it’s one of those things where it becomes that it’s not really that big of a deal, you know?” — he did say he has no beef with the MC.

Eminem Says Nick Cannon Misinterpreted Mariah Carey Dis

mIs Eminem taking the high road? As odd as it seems, that’s what the rapper did in answer to Nick Cannon’s furious blog post responding to Em’s apparent dis of Mariah Carey in a new track. Well, he’s sort of taking the high road. He still is Slim Shady after all.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1 host Tim Westwood on Saturday, Eminem explained the song that sparked the ire of Carey’s husband.

“With the song ‘Bagpipes From Baghdad,’ I kinda spazzed out on that record, but I guess I spazzed out on every record,” Em told Westwood of the Relapse track. “There’s a line on there that was a little harsh. It’s a harsh line. … But it’s like this, the way I look at it: I had no idea he was gonna take it like he took it. I had no idea Nick Cannon was gonna start wildin’ out on me. No pun intended.”

Possibly in jest, Em said his lyrics — which include the lines, “Nick Cannon better back the f— up. I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk,” and, “Nick Cannon, you pr—, I wish you luck with that f—in’ whore” — were misinterpreted. The rapper downplayed the situation, and his level tone seemed to be an attempt to diffuse any tension between himself and Cannon.

Nick Cannon Fires Back At Eminem Over Mariah Carey Dis

nmWho is probably the only person in the world who can erase a smile off the always good-natured face of Nick Cannon? One guess. He’s known as rap’s Mr. No-Holds-Barred: Eminem.

Cannon has taken major offense to a leaked record from Em’s Relapse, “Bagpipes From Baghdad,” in which Em raps about taking Mariah Carey “back” from Nick Cannon. (Carey has denied Eminem’s claims that they dated for six months.)

“Nick Cannon better back the f— up,” Em warns the actor/musician on the track. “I’m not playing, I want her back, you punk.”

Later in the song, Em leaves a parting salvo: “Nick Cannon, you pr—, I wish you luck with that f—in’ whore.”

Cannon had a millions things to say in response on his blog on Friday.

“A mediocre (at best) Eminem record that sounds like it was written in 2001,” Cannon blogged. “At first, I thought it was old material that had been dug up from when dude ‘fantasized’ about having a pretend fling with Mariah. … But all of a sudden I hear my name in the verse! My first reaction was like, ‘This is his new sh–? Wow, that’s too bad.’ ”
