Two-year-old Ardi Rizal of South Sumatra, who reportedly smoked 40 cigarettes a day, has broken his nicotine addiction through a 30-day rehabilitation program, the Jakarta Globe reported Thursday.

“He has stopped smoking and doesn’t ask for cigarettes anymore,” Arist Merdeka Sirait, chairman of Indonesia’s National Commission on Child Protection, said, according to another publication, Earth Times.According to earlier reports, the child was placed in state custody after the video emerged and the boy’s parents said he would cry and throw tantrums if he went too long without smoking a cigarette.

Heavy smoking appeared to have caused the boy’s brain to shrink and could cause other health problems later, Sirait said, according to Earth Times.

“He needs to be in a smoking-free environment so that he doesn’t start smoking again,” Sirait said.

According to Dre, he is still on good terms with 50, however, the rapper’s venture into filming has caused them to lose touch.

“Everything is cool. I haven’t spoken to 50 in a long time. He’s doing his own thing right now. Hopefully we’ll get to work together again in the future but I think he’s working on movies. As far as everybody else goes, I’m here. Everybody knows I’m working on my own thing. Once that’s done, holla at me.” (VIBE)

Recently, Dre’s former N.W.A. group member Ice Cube said he has been hard to locate.

“I didn’t get a chance to work with Dre on this record,” Cube said in an interview referring to his I Am The West LP. “He’s been M.I.A. for two to three months now. But I don’t feel bad, because Snoop [Dogg] can’t find him either — I think, really, it’s because people expect so much from him. People expect, when Dre does a record, it [will] change the trajectory of music. Not just be an album and it come out and be good. It has to come and take us in a different direction. With nothing to play for, the Americans sleepwalked through most of the early start, leading the winless team by only four points early in the third quarter before turning it into a rout in the final 15 minutes.

The U.S. (5-0), seeded first in Group B, next plays Monday against Angola, the No. 4 seed from Group A.

The Americans misfired on nine of their 10 3-point attempts in the first half and failed to show any sustained stretches of good offense, an occasional problem for the team during the group stage.

The Americans have time to clean it up, with three days off before playing their first elimination game.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook each scored 14 points for the U.S., and Stephen Curry had 13.

Marouan Kechrid scored 15 points for Tunisia, which went 0-5 in its first appearance in the world championship.

U.S. coach Mike Krzyzewski played his starters the entire first quarter, which ended with the Americans up 19-13. The reserves went the whole second, and though they pushed the lead into double digits, Tunisia was within two in the final minute of the half before the Americans got the final two baskets for a 39-33 lead.

According to an arrest report on the incident from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, during the course of a traffic stop involving Tip (born Clifford Harris Jr.), 29, and Cottle, 36, on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood at 10:30 p.m., “deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle.”

A narcotics investigation followed and both Tiny and T.I. were “found to be in possession of a controlled substance.” At press time, there was no information on which drug the possession charge covered.

TMZ reported that the recently married couple were traveling in a Maybach when they were stopped by deputies.

Both T.I. and Tiny were booked at the West Hollywood sheriff’s station on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance, and bail was set at $10,000 each. Deputy Jeff Gordon confirmed on Thursday morning (September 2) that both had posted bail around 4 a.m. PT and were due back in court on the charges on September 3. A spokesperson for T.I.’s label could not be reached for comment early Thursday morning.
