The Unguided chronicles the struggle of Anacostia students to graduate high school and go to college with little guidance counseling support.  The year the film was produced Anacostia had 1 guidance counselor for the entire student body of 900.    Outraged and dismayed to discover this was the case in many DCPS high schools, students set-out to find answers to the counseling crisis.
